Hey friends, Annabelle popping in again.

Sometimes after a busy week, I love to step outside late at night, spark up a gentle indica strain (I’m currently exploring Northern Lights), and just watch the stars. I live in a relatively quiet suburb, so the skies get pretty clear, especially after midnight.

A couple of nights ago, I was out on my back porch around 1 AM with a small blanket. The air had that crisp, early-spring scent to it, cool but not too cold. I took a few puffs, lay back on my old chaise lounge, and let my mind wander. There was something meditative about focusing on the constellations, noticing how they shift over the hour. The smoke helped me slow down and really appreciate the moment.

I started reflecting on small, everyday things I’m grateful for: a comfortable home, good health, the freedom to relax under the stars, and the chance to be part of a community that gets it. By the time I headed back inside, I felt refreshed, like I’d taken a mini vacation for my mind.

Sometimes, it’s not about chasing any wild high but about enjoying simple, peaceful experiences. Do any of you have a go-to relaxation ritual, especially after a stressful week? Let me know. I’m always up for trying new ways to unwind.

I recently moved back from Florida to Illinois last fall. Immediately fell in love with smoking outside in the fall. Then got hit with a cold ass winter. Lol. Very thankful for the season changes. Not looking forward to a hot summer any more. Had my share of those. Loloooll
